   im HND graduate,i m also a qualify chartered accountant.what is the age requirement for employment e.g bank and pwc.bcos i had applied before but was not called for test.so what should i do.

   You don’t employ third class graduates. I see in your adverts 2:2 0r 2:1 and no 3 grades. Thats the reason you don’t get the best of graduate employments. Lecturers know this and they subject students to all sorts of treatments for 2:1 and 2:2. Students do every thing including sex and money to get 2:1 0r 2:2.Why not leave it open? Just say University degrees or poly graduates:you will be amazed at the level, 3rd class graduates will beat the 2:1 and 2:2 you advertised for and you may also see some good 2:1 and 2:2 too. Treat the “degree” with respect not the class.

   I quite agree wt Frank, employment should be thrown open for both polytechnic and university graduate irrespective of grades, you’ll be surprise at the performance during aptitude test.

    Ok the site now looks like what u guys can play with, right?
    The requirements are clear. Don’t waste ur hard earned money in the cafe playing with ur time. Fresh graduates have a different page for application, this page is for xperienced hands please.
    The B.Sc/HND arguments wont get u an invitation for test.
    Frank all hope is not lost, you just need 2 have a positive attitude and who knows, something bigger could come ur way.

    Dont cast these PWC guys, it wont do u any good.

    I am an HND graduate of Computer Sc with upper creadit. Also i have an MBA certificate. But because of this descrimation in HND, I have to register for BSc Comp. Sc. programme again. I am presently in my final year. I need a good challenging job. I would be glad if u can bear me out by calling me for your test.

    Am not a lover or fan of writting publicliy but i rather say that i found one frank article very salient cos he was just saying the truth why is that you keep descriminating within the context of classes of grade and not with the intellectual ability that can give you the very best about life. you can ingnore this or rather dont reply but i still belive that you guys should always ask for graduate and class of graduate cos you dont know that the best of them might be in the lower grade but.thinks about it for a while and make sure you get this to the head cos am someone who is ready to defend what i say and dont just give a reply cos we hold you for your words thanks

    I AM NOT LOOKING FOR A JOB BECAUSE I AM GAINFULLY EMPLOYED IN ONE OF THE BEST FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS IN THE COUNTRY.
    I LEFT SCHOOL WITH A LOWER CREDIT IN ACCOUNTING FROM A NIGERIAN POLY AND LUCKILY I WAS INVITED TO TAKE A WRITTEN TEST WITH ABOUT 150 OTHER GRADUATES INCLUDING THOSE FIRST CLASS HONOURS AS WELL AS 2:1.
    I EMERGED THE OVER ALL BEST CANDIDATE IN THE TEST.
    MY MESSAGE TO ALL EMPLOYERS IS TO STOP CONCENTRATING ON CLASS OF DEGREE

    Its rather unfortunate that firms still discriminate on class of degree/diploma.

    I graduated 17 years ago with HND Upper Credit in Accounting from a Polytechnic. I have had my ACA, ACTI, CISA and currently head the Finance Dept of one of Nigeri’a biggest IT firm.

    Thank God that a company gave me (an HND holder) the opportunity. Not everybody is opportuned to get good grade in school. Imagine a young undergraduate who needs to do menial jobs during school to pay his school fees and do miss class at times to go work for money.

    I believe all graduates should be given equal opportunities in terms of recruitment test. When companies take only 1st class and 2nd class upper, it makes some students go the extra mile in getting the grades even when it means doing things that are not pleasant.

    I pray that God touch the hearts of these Policy Makers in these companies to have a change of heart. If they don’t I think it is high time, HND holders in position of authorities stop patronising such banks and firms. When there bottom line is affected, they might change the pilicy.

    In my previous employment, I made sure I employed only HND graduates and opened accounts only in banks that employ HND graduates.

    We are not in a position to tell owners of Organisations what to do. It will amount to an infringements to their rights. Every individual whether HND or B.SC should consistently look for ways to improve themselves to take advantage of opportunities that lies within and around them as entrepreneur. Our govt owe us much in resolving the problem of HND/B.Sc dichotomy that is largely caused by inadequate job openings.

    it is quite unfortunate that those so beloved 2.1 0r first class end up being enslaved in those finacial institution without being useful in their career and to themselves . Most employyers are so useless that they do not know wants from necesity that is why our economy is going down on daily basis we employ rougeus into office , poeple without vision and mission immagine u employ a microbiolgist with first class in a bank and such fellow later turns to a pen robber i think it i sgood 4 such bank because what he/she know is differnt from counting money for the customers at the counter .STOP THE DISCRIMINATION .
