A most capitalized Micro Finance Bank with ownership that includes 3 of the 10 leading commercial banks and 3 other global financial institutions is currently looking for graduates and experienced professionals to join their team.
Due to rapid growth and expansion plans they are seeking to recruit customer focused and performance oriented individuals with strong leadership skills.
The ideal candidates must possess the relevant degree and background in order to apply for the roles.
Please find the positions listed below:
Chief Finance Officer: (CFO 02)
* A minimum of B.Sc. in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related fields
* Member of the institute of Chartered Accountants with an MBA.
* Minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role or equivalent experience in managing finance and accounting operations in a Bank or Financial Institution.
* Excellent computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office applications. Strong management skills, written & oral communication skills. Experience with Globus /Emerge banking software is an advantage.
Chief Information Officer: (CI 02)
* A minimum of B.Sc. Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, and/or related fields. M.Sc. will be an added advantage.
* Minimum of 10 years of experience as an IT Manager or the equivalent in managing an IT department in a Bank with experience in ATM deployment.
* Strong management, communication and interpersonal skills.
* Excellent computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office applications, Globus/Emerg banking software is an advantage.
Head, Human Resources & Admin: (HHR 02)
* A minimum of a degree in Human Resource Management, Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or related fields
* Minimum of 10 Years of experience as a HR Manager or equivalent experience and understanding of the Nigerian labour laws.
* Excellent computer literacy skills and experience with Microsoft Office applications and HR software is an advantage.
Operations Manager: (OM 02)
* A minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Business, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or related fields with numerate coursework.
* Minimum of 5 years cognate experience within the, operations department of a bank or other deposit taking financial institution.
* Strong management skills; ability to coach and motivate.
* Excellent computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office applications and experience with Globus banking software is an advantage.
Savings Manager: (SM 02)
* A minimum of HND in Social Sciences, Business, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or related fields.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience as Senior Officer/Manager or equivalent experience in Savings Mobilization, Bank Operations/Product development in a Bank or Financial Institution, Experience as a branch manger in a leading commercial bank will be an added advantage.
* Excellent computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office applications and strong management & analytical skills.
Loan Officers: (LO 02)
* Minimum of HND in Business, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or related fields.
* Understand the local area where they are working.
* Strong interpersonal, analytical and astute skills.
* High Computer literacy.
Customer Service Officers/PO: (CSO/PO 02)
* A minimum of HND in Business, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, and/or related fields.
* Very good typing skills and computer literacy, particularly Excel.
* Experience in the accounting profession is a plus.
* Strong interpersonal skills with good written and oral communication skills.
Corporate Affairs Officers: (CAO 02)
* A degree in Mass Communication, English and/or related fields.
* Very Good computer literacy, particularly in the use of Microsoft word.
* Well-developed oral and written communication and liaison skills.
* Demonstrable ability to prepare and edit material for publication and experience in liaising with the media.
Admin Officer: (AO 02)
* A minimum of a degree in Business, Economics, or related field.
* Minimum of 3 years experience as an Administrative Officer.
* Strong Computer, written and oral communication skills.
* Good interpersonal, time management and planning skills.
* Strong negotiation skills and sound business judgment.
Admin Assistant: (AA 02)
* A minimum of HND in Business, Economics, or related field.
* Minimum of 2 years experience as an Administrative Assistant.
* Strong Computer, written and oral communication skills.
* Good interpersonal, time management and planning skills.
* Strong negotiation skills and sound business judgment.
Loan Recovery Officers: (LRO 02)
* Applicants must have a degree in Law or related disciplines and have at least 2-3 years experience in debt collection.
Debt Collection Agents: (DCA 02)
* 3 years experience with experience in managing delinquent loan portfolios of at least N50 million are required.

However I am an accountant by profession and PQ qualified. I studied and work in the UK with 2 degrees in Accounting and business. I also have over 10 years experience working as an accountant and assistant accountant.
Please advise me on how to submit an application.
I was browsing this web site just to see what my “homeland” has to offer us ex patriates. My first conclusion was I was amazed at the standard of writing in the replies. Out of 44 replies currently posted, I can count the number of acknowledgements that were constructive. Please as a memo to applicants. Make an attempt to write clearly and concise. Communication is an effective tool. Most of you don’t realise that you have put yourselves at a disadvantage by showing your potential employer you cannot construct a proper sentence. How will you be able to correspond with potential clients as a face of the company. Please take this as positive critism. I currently work in the US for one of the biggest Financial Institutions.
This seems like a great company to work for my only suggestion for Microfinance Bank is to allow applicants to post their resume as a word attachment through your website. The fact that one is reading this means they have access to a computer at that particular time. It is unheard of in the west to mail in resumes/ cv’s. Let us don’t let ourselves down in this age of globalisation.

It’s really a shame cus they can’t represent a company with it.I agree with Kunle Awo on his comment,please u have a lot of home work to do. Good of you sir for this ample opportunity, but permit me to point out that all of us do not leave in Lagos. I think it would be more convenient, easier and faster if CVs are forwarded via email. No rational applicant will spend aboout N7,000 to and fro Lagos just to submit CV which he is not sure of being selected. Please look into it.
Then, the issue of many graduates not being able to communicate effectively even on this site, well; it is quite glaring. It evidences that Nigeria being a Certificated Country is really producing half-baked graduates with Certificates but without expertise. That is the more reason employers of labour should look beyond Certificates. They should lunch thier nets into the deep and catch most fits. This, they ought to do by expunging some of their unnecessary employment policies such as age, HND/BSc dichotomy, longer years of experience etc. I am not saying that they should employ an old man neither am I saying that experience is not good but what do you expect a fresh graduate to know in term of experiece when he is just leaving the classroom. That is why we are saying that HND is even preferrable since Holders of HND have been earlier exposed to practical training before their graduation. All the same, let them spread their employment tentacle and they will experience a turnaround in their manpower scheme. Please, stakeholders you can react to this. Bless you.

I disagree with you. Who says Bsc holders are not exposed to practical training, what of the 3months (200/300 level); 3months (300/400 level); and the 6months (400 level) I.T exposure for Engineering and Enviromental students?
Moreso, some only read to pass with little or nothing in the brain.
So it depends on indidvidual’s personal development, exposure, will power, and adaptability to changes.
Regardless of your HND or BSc, its God that knows who is at the top.
I attended both Polytechnic and University.
