lynda.
A good opportunity but while filling the form I was called back on date of birth which I actually filled. Please do something about it so that i can as well share in it.
Again, can I know the reason why national diploma (ND) is not among the requirements?
Why is it only ACCESS BANK that descriminates between B.SC and HND holders? as a manager i have worked with both and realised that there is no difference and even i prefer the later. Please, have a rethink of this disparity because is not good for our educational system.
thanks,
BLESSING
keep it up nd be untop. U’re the best.Kudos
It cost Access bank nothing to give exceptionally brilliant HND holders with Distinction or Upper Crdt opportunity. I must confess to make an upper credit or Distinction in the Polytechnic is terribly hard and not an easy task.
I know what I am saying cos I am a victim too but I did not relax for i went to the University to do my PGD (distinction) and MSc (Distinction) all in the same field. I am presently working in a research firm in Lagos and I must confess that they were seriously surprise with my sound innovative and research capability. I must confess I am like an apple to the eye of the management because of my performance. And, the pay is cool and good.
If you are an HND holder, it is not a crime, buckled up, improve on the certificate. Enrol for professional or academic exam and put in your best.
In my MSc class, I was the best graduating student. It did not come by surprise but through hard work.
This is just to encourage fellow HND holders. Good morning!
Sam HND statistics (upper credit), PGD statistics (Distinction), PGD computer Science(Distinction),MSc Statistics (Distinction)
this is a great opportunity to get the access you need
i pray it it clicks . Amen
there so many graduate with third class on the street seek for job, why this country can not encourage them or you think people with first or second class are more brillant than them
@Sam
Its disheartening the way Nigerian employers treat those (of us) with Polytechnic certificates, most especially the banking sector. I don’t so much believe on academic degrees (paper qualification), university degree and polytechnic diplomas irrespective of their classifications. I have couple of university graduates working in same establishment with me, most of them are not better off despite their 2:2’s and 2:1’s. As I always remind most employers, the best brains are not always with those with good paper qualifications. Remember the case of Gani Fawehemi, Prof. Wole Soyinka, and Tony Elumelu. They were not the best with respect to paper qualification, look at them today!
Access Bank and the rest 24 banks should learn from this.
Acess Bank has been my dream bank.I think this is a good opportunity for me.
i’ve sent my application may God help me
Thanks a lot guys, i pray this one works out fine. i definitely need this one. keep it up.thanks once again.
i wish i can get the job thanks

keep it up cheers.
@Tony
Thanks for that piece, I think I like it. Keep on giving them the best in you. All I know is dat we are already in the queue and we will soon find ourselves at the top echelon in Jesus name.
Tony, I must confess to you, I never regretted for one day going to polytechnic, God knows the reason.
Do you know that my professor(MSc supervisor) is always begging me to come back for my Ph.D(statistics) under his supervision. He is doing this because of my superlative performance in the MSc.
Keep up the good performance.
Sam
i will submit my application
It’s a nice opportunity for us. Hope the advert is real.

Why is it that Access Bank has made life too diffucilt for HND graduate. Let’s look at the people we strive to be like (the white ), they believe in your intelligent not the school you attended. Many BSC who passed out with first class achieved it through many ways, only few got it through their effort. Please try to change the mode of your employment.
i just hate it whent hey go on with this 2.1 thing and even forget hnd holders and the likes..we have great potential, i am a first class grduate and ican reallysa ythat people with 2 .2 hnd holders and what have u a ll have great potential, put them to the test and they ;ll surely excel…its a total piss off, dont they ever relise the best are those with even lesser grades….wake up access bank…give everybody a chance

Whao, this is another great opportunity.I pray I should be considered so as to
bring out the best in me for the benefit of mankind.
keep it up. more power to your elbow!
wonderful!
Thanks for this wonderful opportunity.
Thanks for this wonderful opportunity
Access bank pls consider the plight of HND holders. All these 2.1, second class upper and they like by most of the banks will not really help. I believe we are not push overs. I did not want to post a comment but looking at the comments already made I can’t but make an input. I belong to the class of those students mentioned by SAM. It is very disturbing and disheartening how HND graduates are treated when it comes to job consideration. I forsee very little happening to improve our banking sector without harnessing the potentials of this young and vibrant polytechnic graduate. Please consider these graduates. Thank you.
Why should a credible institution like Access Bank plc be an agent of discrimination in a society like ours? Unfortunately, they accept HND holders as contract staff whom they use to do some of thier sensitive works like tellering and customers care. “what you don’t eat why share it with your mouth?” Surely, a foundation laid on vices such as discrimination will not stand. Only posterity will vindicate us.
Thanks
ATUBI O S, HND, ACCOUNTANCY (UPPER CREDIT)
I’m not really sure if my application went through. It kept giving a failure delivery after answering d question. I don’t know if if the application went and only the question didn’t go through.I hope it did and i’m considered for an interview and tests
I pray this one cliks bcos access bank is my dream bank, Thank God i have the opportunity to fill in the form, pls access dont fail me this time.
Access bank please try and give second class lower chance to prove to you that they are better off most of the first class holders in the society. at times they are just victim of circumstances so they should not be subjected to that for ever.
thanks guys for your response so far. this disparity was caused by the so called big boys or banking guru - the present gtb MD,TONY ELUMENU,JIM OVIA and most especially fola adeola when he was the managing director of gtb. now, look at what happend to the man when he want contest with obasanjo’s daugther. guys, leave those at the echelon of banking today who are against/deny hnd holders job. God will judge them accordingly. look at cecelia ibru. erastus akingbola, they dont descriminate and their bank are doing fine better than those people descriminates.
HND holders, please, dont let these people distablise your career, encourage youself, enrol for masters and professional exams like ICAN,ACCA,MBA.
Bunmi- HND,MBA
Hello, fellow HND graduates dont mek dis people feel as if dey are getting u guys frustrated. We can stil get our dream jobs witout dis neo-colonist,so dont mek dem feel too important. We have seen many of de bsc holders who can not really hold their own against de HND holders.Lets keep moving cause there is light at de end of de tonnel. Finally lets try and go 4 more degrees and professional exams.
You are doing a great job. i do hope that my application is given a favourable consideration as this will enable me to contribute my resourceful potentials in your reputable organisation

access bank, access bank, access bank! what is wrong with you guys. cant u be more sincere to urselves and stop discriminating HND from BSC. i mean, even at that, broaden your borders to the 2:2s. most of them are even better than the 2:1s….whatever!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH FOR THIS WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY THAT YOU PROVIDED FOR UNEMPLOY GRADUATES.
THANKS ALOT FOR THIS GREAT OPPORTUNITY.
hey HND guys,i sympathise with your plight, and i sure agree that man’s barriers will never be a hinderance to your calculations if y’all are determined enough.however,i beg to disagree to your insinuations as regards this 2:1 thing, you see,an average 2:1 is a smart guy, forget about sentiments.it suffices to say that i am proud of my 2:1 and will not allow anybody make a mincemeat of my modest degree men,y’all know how difficult it is to scale thru our goddamn higher institutions.i should also state that my dad is an HND holder with an MBA,and he’s not doin bad.i guess what i’m trying to say is that just bre strong, creative and proactive, then your degree won’t matter.peace……………………
I graduated from the prestigous University of Liverpool with a Second-Class Upper (2:1) in Computer Science and Bio-Informatics (B.Sc.).
Please don’t slag off B.Sc. holders! They’re genuine people who have been relentless in achieving their respective degrees. If a certain Bank of any other institution for that matter is recruiting candidates, quite rightly so, it should be based on the fact that this person has got the commitment and drive as showcased in attaining their degree (the evidence) and would exhibit the same ethos in the growth and expansion of their prospective employers i.e. Access bank in this case.
It will be of great advantage to give our graduates who studied and work in abroad to come back home to implement what they have learnt in the western world.
why is my application bouncing back into my box?
Accessbank with all there discrimination does not have anything to offer the nigerian people. Those with HND should not beg Access Bank for a change of mind. They did not start it today. Those of us who graduated some 10yrs back and thought we could make a career in the old access bank were disappointed. Today we can pay all of them combined including the man at the helm of affairs who is not better than any of you applying now. Let him continue the discrimination but i know with all his first classes surrounding him, his performance can not even be more than that of spring mortgage bank. Top performers dont discriminate. Kudos to Tony Elumelu and others. Woe to the rest ………….they know themselves.
your guys need me here.
Thanks for the info and pls keep it up. vheers
thanks for the opportunity, hoping to get a favourable response to my application. You guys are doing a great job.keep it up.
Thanx and keep it up, awaiting your positive response
thanks for the post. I hope to be called soon to come and do justice to your test.
It baffles me how most employees always hammer on the issue of class of a thing. For God’s sake, classificatoin had got nothing to do with capability. All these 2.1’s,2.2’s are mere paper qualifications. Why not give other people a chance to prove themselves. My resume is already with you guys.Give me a trial and you will be glad you did.
so many guys have written access bank test yet no result, can someone just appeal to them to start marking the tests already taken rather than piling more on the queue of unresolved applications.
Dose it mean that access bank is for people with 2.1 or can people with lower degree work also in the bank from behind? anyway if the bank want the best for the job, give everybody chance to prove themselves.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of Access bank plc.
I am sincerely grateful for this wonderful opportunity, I do hope that I and many applicant will be favoured. Thanks.
Thanks for your advert. I hope i will be afforded an opportunity to serve and contribute my little to the growth of Access Bank.
I like this.
Thanks for giyen me the priviledge to contribute to the development of Access bank plc.
I Love Access bank.
Thumbs up to Access bank for this wonderful opportunity, more power to your elbow.
Mister Dee and Bubbles, we are not attacking you guys with your B. Sc. Do not misunderstand our position. We are not saying that every Holder of B. Sc is Quack. Our problem is with these employers of labour who do see HND holders as a Stream of Inferiority. There is no rationale for the apathy they are creating. HND is legally recognised in Nigeria in the first place. There were also objectives for establishing Polytechnics in Nigeria. HND has not failed to deliver. So why do you deny the Holders of HND their social rights. In advanced Countries, this kind of rancour cannot happen. Such Companies must be sued and they pay damages.
Mind you that Nigeria is stirving to achieve world class excellence in the economy and other sphere. Consider such policies as Vision 2020. The makers of these ploicies may not be alife by the year 2020. It is you and I that are meant to actualise these noble objectives. Then why do deprive me the opportunity. I am saying that with this kind of unreasonable attitudes, all those employers of labour who are supposed to contribute their quota towards this goals will end up dragging Nigeria to fiasco. HND has come and stay. Let the stakeholders… the National Assembly, the executive, the NLC, the NUC, the NBTEC, the masses act now. Bye
pls i made use of my awaiting result ant to whom it may concern form my deartment but i will be grateful if i am considered
WELL THANK U SO MUCH ACCESS BANK BUT I D LIKE TO TELL U DAT WETHER U LIKE IT OR NOT,AM APPLYIN,EVEN VE ALREADY APPLIED,I HAVE HND LOWER CREDIT IN SCIENCE LAB TECH,APPLIED GEOLOGY OPTION AND I BELIEVE DAT GOD WILL GRANT ME FAVOUR,ITS GOD NOT HUMAN,SO DNT WORRY URSEF EVEN IF U PPLE HAVE HND PASS,ITS GOD DAT GIVETH JOB NOT MAN
Its quite unfortunate that you can find various baby like opinions on sites like this, anyway i don’t want to belong to any side, but i really feel sorry for guys like bubbles and Mr dee or whatever. You can go to wateva university at whereever. one thing I know is that time will tell - who is good. I wish you wont get me wrong cos i’m not competing with you, but i believe that the empty barrel makes the loudest noise. if you feel your 2.1 is prestigious then prove it to your employer of labour and stop flaunting that big mouth here. I also want to plead with we HND holders to stop sounding like we are relegated. If Access doesn’t want us then they can keep their job. One thing i know is that, if they know how to employ us, they must know how to keep our millions. Cause we will make the millions and they will beg us for it.
AM ALSO VERY HAPPY TO KNOW THAT VERY SOON COMPANIES WILL SPRING UP WHO WILL DESCRIMINATE AGAINST BSC. COS THERE IS NO WAY MY COMPANY WILL EMPLOY THEM IF THE TREND CONTINUES LIKE THIS.
All am saying is let the descrimination stop from our time, we will all get there, its just a matter of time, but when you get there do what is right.
Pls not that i didn’t include my name not for cowardice but for the sake of the immatured folks who will want to fight.
I WISH ALL NIGERIAN GRADUATES THE BEST IN THERE JOB HUNT.
Many are called but few er chosen.I pray that Almighty ALLAH answers our prayer.thanks
i really appreciate this i hope my application will be considered
Thank u Access Bank for this opportunity. I do hope my application would be favourably considered.
i really feel courageuos, and i pray for the best. thanks
ireally feel courageous and i pray for the best. thanks
thanks a great deal guys, i would really love to be in the Access bank School of Banking Excellence.
thanks Access bank, i look forward to being considered, i finished wit a 2.1 but i dont like the discrimination here but how would life be if only 1st class and 2.1’s only have account/bank wit access bank!!!
i was happy when i saw access bank’s advt. though, i’m still a coper yet i applied trying 2 test my faith. after filling the online appl form, i did not received any reply. well i guess it could be a modern way of acceptance.
Thanks for this great opportunity given to us graduates. But does it mean that those of us with banking experience with lower credit will not be considered. I will advice Access Bank to give us a trial. Thanks
Good evening Access Bank! Honestly, I must be candid with you because this belittling discrimination between H.N.D. and BSc holders is seriously disconcerting and this spells doom for the educational system in Nigeria. I am a graduate of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree and I bag an “Upper Credit” in Computer Science. Presently, I am in 400 level running a BSc Economics program at the Center for Distance Learning & Continuing Education in University of Abuja. I am a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) and I’ll be confirmed as a Member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (MNIM) this month, hopefully. But why this terrible and humiliating discrimination? It’s harshly unkind and a massive discouragement for potential Nigerian students whom are currently in the Polytechnic system and those aspiring to be admitted. Please Access bank, kindly review your recruitment conditions and requirements as to this unfavourable disparity and at least create a chance for polytechnic graduates too, who in most cases, have even proved to be more proactive and productive than most “so-called” degree owners. Please take to this advice and recommend this idea for other banks too in the banking industry. Widen your spectrum and you’ll find the experience a great improvement to the banking industry.
Patriotically and coperately yours,
Habib.
THANKS ACCESS BANK.PLEASE GO FOR THE BEST.DO NOT COMPROMISE.
Its quite unfair that we can not appreciate what we have, whats all dis discrimination all about. I bet u that Bsc holders cannot even compete with HND holders. I’m talking out of experience. So stop all this HND and BSC thing.
I took my time to painstakingly read through all the mails and felt very satisfied with our level of consciousness as it relates to the discrimination between BSC and HND graduates.
I will sincerely not blame organisations like access bank and all other institutions that are not interested in recruiting HND graduates, I will push the blame to the corridors of Government and the insensitive leaders that the embarassing electoral process has produced to drive the affairs of this country.
I am particularly pained with our immediate past president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo who incidentally is an HND holder but refuse to elevate us to the level we should be. He spent his entire 8 years strategising for 3rd term and live presidency.
None of our leaders have HND graduates and worse still all their wards studied in either USA or Europe, they are never affected with this scourge.
Until we begin to have an Executive arm that is responsive and believe in equal rights to all citizenry with a vibrant Legislature that is well educated and informed, equating BSC and HND will be a dream never realised. Do not be suprised that they discriminate even in ministries and government paratatals. Its that bad. If the Government does not believe in HND graduates how then do you expect the private sector to do that.
I will implore HND holders to begin to think of taking over the affairs of Government by contesting for elective post in Government. It may be a long term project but definately achievable. With a majority in the Legislature we can turn the table in our favour.
For organisations like access, lets worry less. There are other banks that employ HND. Even ICAN confirmed that the pass rate in ICAN exams favours HND more than BSC, so what other consolation does HND graduates need.
I will rest my case and advise that we struggle to acquire more professional and postgraduate qualifications.
This is a battle we must win.
Shalom.
Babatunde HND, ACA
You have been a big help to many, therefore God bless you the more.
thanks for the information. i have applied sucessfully
In the olding days there was a man’s writeup that says”HE WHO CANNOT PROUD OF HIS COLOUR IS NOT FIT TO BE EXISTING”I AM PROUD to b polytechnic produt from the only polytechnic that start with article”THE”.THAT MEANS THE POLYTECHNIC,IBADAN.AM FROM BANKING AND FINANCE DEPARTMENT.As i used to say i cannot be INTIMIDATED,FRUSTRATED AND RELEGATED BY ALL THESE COMPANY[S] BCOS AM GOING TO BE GREAT.I just want to throw more light to some areas that are seriously opaque to some of writers bcos i strongly believe dis forum is not a place to be pugnacious with each other rather than sharing experience with each other.Judging by these reasonable following pple:OWAZ,HABIB TUNDE,ANNONYMOUS etc comment i will like to give u one of my handwork in some years back that basically talk about HND/Bsc DISPARITY:A CONSTANT HEADACHE:The more i think of agelong problem of discrimination.the more convinced i become that the disparity is unjustified.it si unarguable true that the victimization HND holder faces is too much burden to bear.as a matter of fact, the certificate s gradually becoming a nightmare.going by the demands of this certificate[hnd],you will agree with me that the investment cost of this programme is far more than that of BSC.both in terms of finances and labour input.if goverment parastatas does not embark on dis discrimination i strongly believe that companies that are privatelly owned will not emulate that.let us be more factual with each other,if the certificate is no more regularised,it can be scrapped.if the programme is seen as a failure ,the right authorities should stop pple from investing their lives into it.The programme is now a thorn in a flesh.it is no more inspirational to get admmited into polytechnics.save our soul.we are down in the pool of insignificance.resourceful talents are washing away.intelectual beings are going on fulfilment drought.purpose is withering.drive is dying.the anwer is an equal chance.a space for space.a room for equality concept.an orientation of parity.i believe something gud will surely come to stay in the nearest future.all degrees holders should not be seen us as wot our goverment is calllin us bcos i think we both relate and we understand ourself ability.advise TO ALL HND HOLDERS U BETTER THINK OF WHAT U CAN OFFER NIGERIAN BCOS THEY WILL SOON JOIN US IN THE RACE…………………
