The candidate must be a graduate with a Degree in Business Administration, related discipline or equally by experience. Under the general supervision of the Operations Manager, the position is to ensure adequate management on site for 24 hours operation.

The ideal candidate must be able to sustain high levels of activity and energy over long hours when necessary, and working in continuous shift pattern and possess at least three or more years of strong supervisory experience in container terminal operations environment or similar related industry.

Principal Accountabilities
• Manages and instructs direct reports on the daily activities of the operation.
• Key vessel and yard focal point for the entire shift for Operations.
• Ensures full utilization of labor and equipment, as required.
• Provides regular process control checks, initiates and supports performance improvement activities.
• Provides work and berth planning for the shifts based on vessel schedules.
• Provides supervision to subordinate staff, providing regular feedback and appraisals.
• Have regular meetings with subordinates, giving them current company information.

        Is it true that maersk do not give second chance to people who have sat for there test before

        Yes, Maersk doesn’t give second chance for the people who have taken their test before,i f you are shortlisted to write the test a second time, during the test,you will be told that it is the second time yo are writting and that your paper will be shreded, i when i wrote maersk test ,one of the candidates was told that he was taking it the second time but i don’t know if his paper was shreded, mearsk test is easy, its gmat but you have to be extra fast cos they allow 12mins for 50 questions and 24 mins for 100 questions.
