ACCESS BANK the issue of this second class upper is un called for.u people are discriminating.the management ls have a retink.i graduated with second class lower, ohers are out there crying, this is not fair.

      19. on 26 May 2008 at 12:05 pm19Iroro Edamwen

guy,men access bankagain?i dont belive in the credibility of access bank aqny more .after writing their text am attending their interview.they are about calling me for the next stage for over 8 months now and they assured us they will call us after our service year.

      22. on 26 May 2008 at 12:42 pm22Enitan Jaiyesimi

You guys are doing great wish to be part of the team.

      23. on 26 May 2008 at 12:51 pm23Nneka

Please your requirement of Second Class Upper Degree only as a criteria for applying might make you lose bright people who might have just got Second Class Lower degree in school. Please do reconsider as most of us out there might just be what you are looking for .
        Thanks.

      24. on 26 May 2008 at 12:54 pm24Kingsley

ACCESS BANK, they appear to be very unserious in recruitment. I have passed their test went for interview and was told to prepare for the next stage since Sept of 07 till date, no response since then. well who ever wants to apply can go ahead.

      26. on 26 May 2008 at 1:23 pm26Dazzle dume

I guess u shd have a rethink just like Nneka said. A 2.1 candidate mite not give u wot u really want. Leave the doors open so that u can get the best candidate /staff for ur organisation.

      27. on 26 May 2008 at 1:40 pm27Matthew

Thanks for the opportunity. I look forward to being called for a test/interwiew. Access is a brand to be associated with

      33. on 26 May 2008 at 5:11 pm33TAOFEEK

Thanks for given me the hope to work in my dreamed bank but I am expecting a page that I will print to assure me that my application is accepted.

      34. on 26 May 2008 at 5:56 pm34JYDO

i believed that if there is discrimination in this sector, some banks won’t go forward and some will go forward.look at zenith bank they give everybody equal right to perform, be an upper or lower all what they want is what you can offer to their bank and that is the reason they are one of the biggest bank in Africa.i think the other banks should try and give other qualifications chance to proof themselves.

      35. on 26 May 2008 at 5:56 pm35SOLOMON

I will be very happy to have career in your Bank

      36. on 26 May 2008 at 6:38 pm36uchechi Chigbundu

      39. on 26 May 2008 at 8:08 pm39Ayo

ds a great 1 bt dnt u guys feel ds degree discrimination can cause lots of tins in d market, every degree shld be treated equally its a matter of wot u got upstairs nt paper work

      40. on 26 May 2008 at 11:41 pm40wunmi adisa

wonder if there still exists a single soul who believes “if it’s really yours, it’s never gonna pass you by”. 2:1 or otherwise, the vision is yet for an appointed time. Just received an invite for aptitude test slated for Wednesday though!

      41. on 27 May 2008 at 4:43 am41yere

I can’t understand some people here. Why are you giving up your personal information; do you think employers are looking at this or will select people based on what you say here?
This forum allows you to make comments and/or interact with other jobseekers and not for you to ask the employer to call you.
I’m not trying to be funny, but the mere fact that many people (supposedly graduates) do not realize this, says alot about how employable we can be.

      42. on 27 May 2008 at 4:55 am42okorie Iheaka

        to promote banking.

      43. on 27 May 2008 at 8:12 am43steve

You guys are not being fair at all.Does it mean the rest that did not make up to 2.1 are not ripe for this chance. This is marginalisation in the highest order. So people like Gani who made 3rd class in Law are not intelligent abi!.The MD of ACCESS bank what did he make? This bullshit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      44. on 27 May 2008 at 8:26 am44WILLIAMS

PLEASE I WANT MY APPLICATION TO BE CONSIDERED BECAUSE I HAVE BEEN TRYING IT BEFORE.THANKS.

      45. on 27 May 2008 at 9:08 am45segun abayomi ige

        thanks

      46. on 27 May 2008 at 9:46 am46URIEL OGUNLAJA

YEYE, I GIVE KUDOS TO YOU FOR YOUR OBSERVATION ABOUT THE IGNORANCE OF OUR SO CALLED GRADUATES IN NIGERIA!!!!

IT HURTS MY HEART THAT OUR GRADUATES POTRAY THEMSELVES AS JUST “SCHOOL ATTENDERS” RATHER THAN UNIVERSITY GRADUATES!! IS IT THE READING OF THEIR DISMANTLED ENGLISH CONSTRUCTION; PASTING OF RESUMES ON THIS FORUM; RELEASING PHONE NUMBERS; EMAIL ADDRESSES THAT EMPLOYERS SHOULD CONTACT THEM AND TO THEIR LEVEL OF INVALIABLE ARGUEMENTS??? REALLY, MOST OF THESE PEOPLE ARE A DISGRACE TO UNIVERSITY EDUCATION IN NIGERIA.

I HAVE FRIENDS ABROAD HERE WHO AFTER BOASTING TO THEM ABOUT JOB OPPORTUNITIES IN NIGERIA, TELL ME ABOUT THE FUNNY VIEWS OF APPLICANTS THEY READ ON THIS WEBSITE. THIS IS BECAUSE I GAVE THEM CAREERSNIGERIA.COM TO UPDATE THEM ABOUT JOB OOPORTUNITIES IN NIGERIA’S OIL & GAS.

IT IS A SHAME TO HEAR WHAT PEOPLE SAY AND WRITE ON THIS FORUM. HALF BAKED NIGERIAN GRADUATES SHOULD PLEASE STOP DISGRACING THIS COUNTRY!!!

I SUGGEST THAT THE OWNERS OF THIS WEBSITE SHOULD CENSOR THINGS THAT ARE BEEN PASTED ON THIS SITE, IT REALLY GO A LONG WAY IN CLEARING THE WEBSITE OF MOST OF THE RUBBISH WE SEE ON IT.

PS: THIS SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN PERSONAL, PLSSSSSSS!!!!!!

      49. on 27 May 2008 at 10:58 am49topsy

considering the pple with 1.1 alone to me does not make sense because some with 2.2 can even perform better than people with 1.1. some people end up graduating with 2.2 not because they are not intelligent but because of some factors either in the faculty of department. Pls if u can considreder those with 2.2 you will see what am talking about. This is not first time of applying and I believe maybe just because of my grade. I will be happy if you can consider this time. thanks.

Access bank is an institution to reckon with.my friends that work with Access Bank gave me an insight of the quality trainning that the bank inculcates in their staffs and i will like to be a beneficiary of this golden opportunity…My position is that i met the requirement but will be going for my NYSC by AUG/SEPT 2008. Pls tell me if its still advisable to apply.THANKS

      69. on 28 May 2008 at 11:01 am69Feyi

I sincerely appreciate the comments by URIEL and YERE, for a while i have been very confused when reading comments on this site. i often wonder if the comments are truly posted by graduates or by illiterates. it is a real pity. Beyond the qualifications, as a graduate, you have to package and brand yourself. i can imagine if the employers read through our comments, most of us will never get any opportunity, not with the shallow minded comments we post and the unintelligent arguments we pose. for Gods sake, i believe we need to polish ourselves if we indeed want to get anywhere in life.

      70. on 28 May 2008 at 11:21 am70Zainab

Access Bank is giving young graduates the opportunity to use their skills and knowledge in service to the bank and that is truly honorable

      71. on 28 May 2008 at 11:55 am71HAMMED OLALEKAN

Have read the comments of my fellow graduates, but its surprising most of them fail to realise that even if they were not given the job at first attempt, atleast, been invited to an interview is a worthy experience that can help in securing a better job somewhere else.

Access bank, thanks for grooming the Nigerian graduates for the challenges ahead.
        kudos !

Segun Abayomi. thanks for you comments, i thought i was the only one who found it quite odd that these are actually Graduates who spent at least four yrs in school. It goes a long way to show what kind of students they were. Who would want to employ someone who cannot even construct an intelligible sentence?

      83. on 29 May 2008 at 5:25 am83miriam

      89. on 29 May 2008 at 3:57 pm89Iroro Edamwen

i wonder what kind of human beings come here to counter what others have written, since u know it all,why are so still job seraching,so from the village u come from there is nothing like mistake and not being perfect,TEACHER why not teach them, also there could be some typographical error,be warn, you just come here and write nonense.
God luck, like i said some days ago,ACCESS BANK aint trying, the management should have a rethink, dont discriminate afterall not all of ur staffs are working with a 2.1
        1LUV
        i mean no harm

      90. on 29 May 2008 at 6:55 pm90murphy ifeanyi chibundu

i am sick and tired of the whole shit better i call it episode,i mean from 2.1 to first class down the university u attended ,now its polytechnic and university barrier.I ask were are we going from here? Now that we have private universities arround i think the jobs now should be meant for graduate from private universies. So the Ife,U.I,Uniben,Unilag,Unical,Abuja,UNN,and others should go back and re enrol to get degrees from these Private universities.
Well am done, guys should give this a thought

That is too bad of them. The owner(s) of this site should pls, try to screen the comment of the graduate. Am ashame of all this.

I wonder why guys leave their numbers on here, do they actually contact you when you do that? I doubt it. Please guys be more careful and am quite surprised at the level of written english by some of our graduates, well I hope their spoken english is way better. Good luck with the job search guys and am happy this site had done a lot in bringing these roles closer to the job seekers. Am carrying out a postgraduate research on the impact of the internet on recruitment and selection, basically looking at how we have evolved from the traditional method of sending CV’s in response to newspaper ads to this time where we can all come on here to see what new jobs we got; also to see how you welcome the change also. if you are willing to spare some time to answer some questions and fill out a questionnaire that would be really appreciated. Maybe I could buy you a drink or something for your time…lol. Drop me an email on oo465@student.open.ac.uk if you can and I will be in touch. Please contact me on there just for this purpose, am not offering any jobs peeps.

It’s disheartening to actually read some of the comments posted here…wrong spellings….incorrect grammatical expressions…senseless and unsolicited personal information…hence the decadence in the Nigerian educational sector is making a public display of itself through the “graduates” it has been churning out for the past decades….the ones that manage to get employed are the sources of moral, ethical, and professional rot in their places of work…they are every where with their poor sense of jugdement, lack of accumen, poor comprehension of their supposed areas of expertise…and yet they flaunt themselves as pros…it is time for all who know their onions to stand up for excellence and for those who don’t to stand aside and learn!!! SO IF YOU KNOW THAT YOU ARE ONE OF THOSE THAT STILL THINK IN THEIR MOTHER TONGUE BEFORE CONVERTING TO ENGLISH, STAND ASIDE. IF YOU ARE NOT SURE YOU KNOW, STOP PRETENDING, STAND ASIDE. IF YOU DON’T HAVE IT, STAND ASIDE AND LEARN BEFORE YOU STEP OUT. I will not tolerate any wrong and annoying grammatical expression on this site anymore…

com!on,what is all this about? what does Access bank think they are doing?how many calls for shortlists, tests, interviews before they employ the people they have selected by merit or otherwise.I think they enjoy receiving our CVs.Rightly put, what did their chief executive officer graduated with?what about the others ?what ridiculous image are they projecting”bank with the 2-1 acumen ,from CEO-CASHIER,i laugh. it isn!t their fault .if there were jobs in Nigeria, who would want to go to Access bank a million times for prolonged STI,ie shortlist ,test, interview infinity exercise.God de
