As a key member of the subsurface team, and global BG petrophysics community, the individual will support the assets exploration, development and production operations, by using their petrophysical expertise to manage contractor operations and evaluate formation properties in accordance with BG best practices and processes.
Unique Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Attributes
Knowledgable and internationally mobile petrophysicist, of graduate-calibre, with excellent team working capabilities within a multi-cultural environment.
• Experience of working in operational environments to to acquire petrophysical data, and demonstrating a strong awareness of HSSE and risk management issues.
• Good working knowledge of mud log, LWD, wireline, fluid and core acquisition and interpretation processes and methods, particularly in relation to carbonate environments and integrated interpretation techniques.
• Established IT skills, using standard Microsoft Office Software and petrophysical data interpretation software.
• Experience of Recall/Review would be an advantage.

I want to thank the management of BG GROUP for throwing this opportunity open to everybody. I want to suggest that the management of BG GROUP should not drag so much on experience but rather on the standard of test they are going to set and the level of performance by the applicants as this will show who is capable and who is not capable. Also the issue of 2.1 or 2.2 should be eliminated completely as so many employees have use this medium to denie most young, innocent, sincere, intelligent, honest, dedicated, capable and hardworking graduates of Nigerian universities the opportunity of showcasing their talents.
