why so many years of experience? Globacom is not encouraging fresh graduates to start up something. where do they expect a fresh graduate to get the 5yrs experience from?

      3. on 09 Jul 2008 at 9:59 am3Peace Joseph

I wonder why we have to continue to leave a reply. The issues raised by different candidates are usually not being attended to. People have passed all sorts of comments on this site, but they all go down the drain. The truth is that most people are really frustrated after having put in about 100 and more applications, possessing the right qualifications for advertised jobs, yet employment is a far cry. I am tired of leaving comments that are unattended to. I NEED EMPLOYMENT FOR GOD’S SAKE!

Glo is a useless company.Where do they want us to get the experience from.

      16. on 09 Jul 2008 at 4:11 pm16for good

Hmmmmm. Everybody is just saying their own. I can understand that we’re all expressing our frustrated self. Please, why don’t we start to check how to hack these organisations. Maybe they will start to employ people who hack them out. I am not joking here. By the time they see that fresh graduates are hacking them, they’ll remember that, If you want to have peace of mind make sure your neighbour has too or else you are in for a long long long tiring lifetime. Hmmmn I mean all I’m saying. The hacking has begun.

Please i need a job to make life easy for me and people around me, I love your serveices and i promies to make you glo for ever

      18. on 09 Jul 2008 at 5:55 pm18tosino

My friend i hope the best thing to do is to apply first wether fresh graduate or not.Leave the rest for God to answer. I know that if you can package your CV very well and Pray to God for devine favour you will surely be called. All you have to do is to make sure you meet up with the expectation for the Interview cos i was once invited for Glo interview and i know what it takes to be asked technical questions.

      19. on 09 Jul 2008 at 7:12 pm19Ramoni Sule Adeniyi

I feel dissapointed by the attitude of employers who prefer Bachelor degree to Higher National Diploma,I make bold to say that many HND holders are better than their universities counterparts. This can be confirmed by subjecting both to a level playing ground in your recruitment procedures.I want glo management to realize that both holders are your subscribers and both deserve to be considered favourably.

      20. on 10 Jul 2008 at 6:09 am20Feyi

Emmanuel, its wrong of you to talk like this, you are supposed to pray that your time will come and not abuse the company. Its not their fault that you dont fit into the positions open right now. just pary that soon you will get a job and dont sound so desperate

      21. on 10 Jul 2008 at 7:16 am21Adekunle Funmilayo

I feel emmanuel should wait for is own time becos all companies at one stage or the other needs experience hands so as to reduce cost as well as save time in training and all sort.
        Keep it up Glo.

      50. on 15 Jul 2008 at 8:03 am50abayomi

i could not agree more with comments i read about giving people the opportunity to be tested. every organization would want to employ competent staff to the work, but we all understand that most jobs are routine, which makes it easy for a person with a school leaving certificate to the these jobs, since they would be given trainings on the job. no amount of experience brought to a job excludes the need for further instruction on the culture of that particular organization. in a society like ours whereby you have graduates with fantastic grades but cannot reason critically or outside the box. the Uk does not even require graduates, most employees are GCSE holders. but trained on the job. test for intelligence and not results on paper, which sometimes does not depict reality.

At least First Degree is very very essential, cos it is an entrance to the top top. For those who re handicapped of it, try getting it as to move along. A 2nd class lower can be managable but 3rd class!!! well, register for PGD or eqivalent. Very soon Masters will be the entrance to all establishments and first degree will be for drivers, office assistance and front desk officer!!! But God dey, shaa

        An advice for glo nigeria!
A fresh graduate may even work and bring out the success of a company than somebody with 100yrs experience. Why don’t Nigerian employers throw there vacancies open to applicants, so they will pick the successful candidates. I am employed in a company that doesn’t know me before and know working experience, now I want to resign and further my carreer, the MD is pleading because of my performance. Please, employ people for trial and not base on years of experience. Thanks, GLO WITH PRIDE!!!
