Job Summary
Coordinate repairs and maintenance in all electrical systems in the plant.

Specific duties & Responsibilities
-
Develop and implement appropriate preventive maintenance programme for all electrical systems (motors, panels, cables etc.)
-
Liaise with Fleet Maintenance for repairs and overhaul of generators
-
Approve action to be applied during daily planned maintenance period for electrical systems.
-
Supervise requests for parts to carry out maintenance or repairs.
-
Analyse bottlenecks or problems on electrical systems and sort them out to achieve rated capacity.
-
Review reports on performance of electrical systems and correct any faults.
-
Keep log/history of maintenance and repairs on electrical systems.
-
Plan and implement annual shut down maintenance.
-
Advice on any major investment in electrical systems
Key Performance Objectives & Indicators
Objective: To ensure availability of electricity and electrical systems
Indicators:

Amount of downtime due to power outage and electrical faults.

Repairs and maintenance cost on electrical system

Downtime resulting from unavailability of utilities
-
Reliability of water system for fire fighting (as measured by case of starting water pump and water pressure in fore hose)

Repairs and maintenance cost (relative to age and value of machine and equipment)

Job Specifications
Minimum Education: B.Sc. or H.N.D. (Electrical Engineering)
Minimum Experience: 8 years cognate experience, with at least 5 years in managing utilities.
