Adexen is recruiting for one of its clients in – a leading International Group in the Power sector is looking for an Accountant (Reporting & Controlling) Analyst.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The ideal candidate will be responsible for:
· Post all accounting events in compliance with local, international, Group and generally accepted Administrative, Tax and Accounting rules & guidelines
· Classify and File the supporting documents
· Prepare the appropriate schedules and follow-up tools for control and reconciliation purpose.
· Proceed with intercompany reconciliation
· Group Reporting
He will report to the Country Finance Manager.
The position is based in Lagos.
RESPONSIBILITIES
· Daily posting of accounting movements using SAP account software: Invoices, payments made, provisions, depreciations etc.
· Monthly reporting for the Group using Hyperion financial management tool
· Proceed to the monthly reconciliation with our IG Partners
· Prepare the monthly Bank reconciliations
· Prepare the explanatory analysis schedules after each closing
· Suggest and implement improvements of the Accounts management and presentation
· Contribute to the appropriate level of internal control within the Finance-Accounting Department
· Contribute to SEN’s compliance with the local and Group generally accepted accounting principles
· Take part in the preparation and analysis of the adequate reports for Controlling purposes
· Propose and implement appropriate action plans
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Chartered Accountant
· Minimum of 3-5 years experience
· Sound knowledge of SAP
· Sound knowledge of Reporting in a multinational Company
· Sound knowledge of Accounting techniques and processes
· Interpersonal skills
· Good communication skills – Oral & Written
· Good organisational and planning skills
· Result-oriented
· Rigorous and in a continuous personal & professional improvement process
